I AM Team Honored with Distinguished Volunteer Fundraiser Award at Silicon Valley Philanthropy Day 2024
Held annually in San José, Silicon Valley Philanthropy Day celebrates the outstanding impact of nonprofit leaders, volunteers, donors, and corporate partners working to uplift the local community. Hosted by the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Silicon Valley Chapter (AFP Silicon Valley), the event recognizes excellence in fundraising and service, with the Distinguished Volunteer Fundraiser Award standing as one of its most prestigious honors.
We’re proud to share that the I AM Team received this incredible recognition in 2024, following a heartfelt nomination by our longtime partner, the Bill Wilson Center.
On November 1, 2024, the I AM Team joined fellow nonprofit finalists and corporate sponsors for a day filled with inspiration, storytelling, and celebration. AFP Silicon Valley Chapter President Maria Lopez opened the event with keynote remarks, setting a tone of gratitude and unity. During the awards ceremony, the I AM Team was recognized for our hands-on fundraising efforts and deep partnerships within the community, all of which helped raise vital support for foster children and families in need.
After the event, the Bill Wilson Center highlighted our team’s achievement in their internal communications, applauding the dedication and collaboration that led to this milestone. For us, this recognition is more than an award it’s a powerful affirmation of the heart, effort, and purpose we bring to our mission every day.
Receiving the Distinguished Volunteer Fundraiser Award validates months of focused work and strengthens our commitment to serve. It has energized our team to build on this momentum, welcome new supporters, and deepen our impact in the year ahead.
